The Israeli military claims to have killed two armed individuals in an air strike after they opened fire on Israeli soldiers in northern West Bank.
Palestinian medical workers have identified one of the fatalities as an 18-year-old man and report that five additional people were severely injured "as a result of artillery fire".
The Israeli military reports that a third person was killed in combat in a village and that more than 20 people were arrested there. Residents of the area have identified the person as a 40-year-old man and claim that Israeli soldiers shot him dead outside his home.
These raids, according to Israeli sources, had nothing to do with an attack on Monday where individuals opened fire on civilian vehicles, including a bus, at an Israeli settlement. Two women and a police officer were killed, and the perpetrators fled the scene.
