The SHL club Luleå, Djurgården in Hockeyallsvenskan and Troja-Ljungby in Hockeyettan are penalized with a ban on supporter items – this applies to all forms of overhead flags, banners, flags on poles, fabric pieces and paper sheets.
The reason is that flags have been used by supporters to hide, and then set off pyrotechnic devices.
"Swedish ice hockey will never allow crimes to be committed in our arenas during ice hockey events," writes the association's competition committee in a statement.
Djurgården is penalized with a flag ban in ten away matches, Troja-Ljungby in five away matches and Luleå in five home matches.
Västerås IK has also been previously penalized with a flag ban.
