The Russian air attacks hit, among other things, a multi-story building and a playground.

At the same time, reports are emerging that Russian forces have taken over three more villages in eastern Ukraine on Friday, according to Russia's Defense Ministry on Telegram.

According to Ukraine's Supreme Commander Oleksandr Syrskyj, fierce battles are still raging in the Pokrovsk area between Russian and Ukrainian forces, which is a crucial hub for Ukraine.

Russia has claimed over the past few months to have taken control of dozens of Ukrainian cities and villages – some no more than a few streets and a handful of abandoned buildings.

On Friday, reports also emerged that five people were killed in Ukrainian attacks in the Russian border region of Belgorod, according to the Russian state-controlled news agency Tass. Nearly 40 people are said to be injured.
