Muchová took the first set 6-2, but Coco Gauff, seventh in the world rankings, levelled the match after playing brilliantly in the second set, which she won convincingly 6-1.
The third and decisive set was a real thriller, but Karolína Muchová kept her composure, won 7-6 (12-10) and is now through to the women's singles final.
"It was a rollercoaster ride, to be completely honest. I'm shaking," says Muchová.
Saturday's final will be Muchová's second in a Grand Slam. In 2023, she lost to Poland's Iga Swiatek at the French Open. In the Wimbledon final, she will face either Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk or compatriot Linda Nosková.
"It will be a tough match but I haven't started thinking about it yet. I'll try to let this victory sink in. It's an indescribable feeling to be in the final."
