MSB has now summarized the Swedish efforts in the major forest fires on the continent.
"This is the longest and in many ways most significant effort we have carried out since the major forest fires in 2018. Then Sweden received decisive help from Portugal - now we have had the opportunity to repay that solidarity", comments Nils Vaernholt, head of National efforts and civil protection at MSB, in a press release.
MSB's work began in Bulgaria on July 27 and then continued in Portugal. The number of operational hours totaled 191.
