According to SVT, the costs involve "everything from rebranding vehicles, equipment and promotional clothing - to creating new internal and external information material."
The government's minister responsible, Carl-Oskar Bohlin, writes in an email to SVT that he "assumes the authority will do this in the most cost-effective way possible."
The name change to the Swedish Civil Defence Agency took place on January 1 of this year. At the end of last year, Director General Mikael Frisell told TT that the tasks for the authorities will be the same as before, but clearer.
The task that is becoming more difficult for us is that we are the leading, directing and coordinating authority for the entire civil defence, he said.
