MP and V are demanding that S and L vote for their proposal to stop the so-called "teenage expulsions" in the Riksdag's social insurance committee on Tuesday. But S will say no.

The proposal means that the Riksdag would urge the government to submit a bill to expand the possibility of family immigration for young people up to the age of 21 and to reintroduce the humanitarian protection ground of "particularly distressing circumstances."

Both S and L have previously said that they want to stop teenage expulsions.

"With these two parties on our side, there is a parliamentary majority," says V's Tony Haddou, migration policy spokesperson.

C has previously supported MP's and V's proposals. But S will not vote in favor, according to information provided to TT, and wants the government to stop the deportations until the legal situation is clarified.
