A man in his 20s has been arrested in Malmö after threatening his way into a car.

It was at 16 o'clock that the police received emergency calls about a motorcycle accident at Varvsbron.

The suspected man is first believed to have crashed with the motorcycle, then run from the scene to later force his way into a car by threatening the driver with a sharp object.

The police's press spokesperson Evelina Olsson tells that they first received information from a witness who saw a man crash and run from the scene. While searching for the person, the police received a call from a car driver who was threatened by a man.

Then we linked these two events, she says.

The man was arrested in central Malmö a short while later.

He is now suspected of, among other things, traffic offenses, unlawful threats and unlawful deprivation of liberty.
