The alarm about the accident came in shortly before 5 pm on Tuesday afternoon when a car collided with a motorcycle outside Kristianstad.
Both the motorcyclist and the car driver were taken to hospital by ambulance after the accident. The motorcycle driver later died of his injuries at the hospital. The police have questioned the car driver, but the extent of the injuries is currently unclear.
In connection with the collision, the motorcyclist becomes so severely injured that he later dies, says Patric Fors, press spokesperson at the police, to TT.
The police do not want to provide any details about how the accident occurred, but state that no other people were involved.
