The five-year-old girl was left alone at home in her apartment on Hisingen repeatedly. One night in February this year, she died after a fire started in the apartment.
In July, the mother was sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated manslaughter, 41 counts of causing danger and 42 counts of unlawful deprivation of liberty. The woman is now appealing the sentence and wants it overturned.
The prosecution is also appealing and wants to see a harsher sentence for the woman.
