The verdict is upheld in its entirety, which means that the appealed sentence for the convicted father remains. The 44-year-old father was previously sentenced to life imprisonment, while the murdered woman's brother is sentenced to 16 years in prison. Both were also convicted of serious desecration of a grave.

It was in May last year that the young woman was lured out on a car ride with her family members. She was strangled with her scarf and when she was found, the body was severely burned.

The mother was acquitted in the district court in April, as the court could not rule out that she had tried to interrupt the murder of her daughter.
