According to the alarm call, which the radio channel has taken part of, the mother called and told what they had heard from the boy's friends, that he had been murdered in Stockholm. They also allegedly brought up the name and address of a boy who had concrete information about the murder.
One and a half days later, the boy's body was found in a forest area.
The media has previously reported that the mother did not receive help to track her son after he disappeared.
The family's alarm call went to the police's regional command center in police region East. The boy was murdered in Stockholm.
The action was later reported as misconduct, but according to the prosecutor, the crime could not be proven.
The police officer who received the alarm call does not want to comment on the individual case.
