Vehicles top the list with 21.5 percent and used cars account for more than half of the complaints. Next, it's about repair and maintenance within the category.

Sweden's Consumers had hoped for a decrease after Blocket promised improvement when an investigation by Råd & Rön 2023 showed that blacklisted car dealers who do not follow the General Complaints Board's recommendations could advertise on the sales site – which went against the site's guidelines.

"On the contrary, more people have had problems with buying used cars. In this category, we see an increase of nine percent compared to last year. It's a big disappointment," says Christine Fransholm, consumer guide at Sweden's Consumers, in a press release.

Besides cars, complaints are also made about things like telephony, white goods, clothing, and computers.

Close behind used cars are craft services at the top, according to statistics reported by the country's municipal consumer advisors. This is something that has recurred in previous years and, according to an estimate from the Consumer Agency, these services account for a large part of the total consumer damage of 40 billion kronor.
