Ukrainian drones struck two warehouses of the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries in the Moscow and Tambov regions on Saturday night.
Flammable materials at the premises contributed to fires and heavy smoke after the attacks, reports EFE.
At least seven people were killed and 25 injured in the attack on the premises in Tambov, according to Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov. In the attack on the premises in Elektrostal, just east of Moscow, 24 people were injured, according to Moscow Governor Andrei Vorobyov, who said one person was killed in the attacks on the town.
According to local authorities, all the victims are company employees. Wildberries CEO Tatjana Kim says it has been a "horrible night", writes the BBC .
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy writes on X that the attacks are a "response to Russian attacks on our civilian infrastructure, our cities and communities."
The premises were used "for deliveries of sanctioned components for drone manufacturing and navigation equipment," Zelenskyy further writes in the post with an attached video clip that allegedly shows the attacks.
An oil facility has also been hit, according to the president.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claims that 370 Ukrainian drones were targeted at the Russian capital during the night of Saturday.
"Most were neutralized by air defense," he writes on social media.
Finland closed a sea area for just over three hours on Saturday morning out of fear of Ukrainian drones straying across the Finnish border.
