"Fixed interest rates are pulling back significantly," says Zmarta/Uscores in a press release.
The average interest rate on a three-year mortgage increased to 3.36 percent, up from 3.13 percent in March. For a five-year loan, the average interest rate increased to 3.67 percent, up from 3.36 percent.
The average interest rate on savings accounts in April was 0.48 percent, compared to 0.47 percent in March.
The average is based on data from 13 banks, where Skandiabanken had the lowest variable interest rate of 2.64 percent, while Hypoteket had the highest at 2.94 percent.
