Morrissey will also begin 2026 by canceling concerts. On short notice, ticket buyers in California were notified that the two concerts scheduled for this weekend had been postponed indefinitely.

According to the organizers, the artist was suffering from "a side effect of prescription medication."

In September, the British singer canceled several concerts in the United States and Canada after a 26-year-old man made death threats against him online. The following month, a planned performance in Turkey was canceled after Morrissey expressed his support for Israel.

In November, Morrissey canceled shows in South America and Mexico, citing "extreme exhaustion." That was also the reason he canceled the show at Hovet in Stockholm and his participation in "Allsång på Skansen" this summer.

Also in January last year, the 64-year-old singer, who rose to prominence with The Smiths in the 1980s, canceled two concerts in the United States due to a serious sinus infection.
