It was exhaustion that Morrissey stated as the reason for cancelling Monday's performance at Hovet in Stockholm. He also cancelled his appearance at Allsång på Skansen.
"I know that it is impossible for people to understand, but we dream of Stockholm, Reykjavik, Trondheim, Helsinki, Aarhus... but there is no financial support from invented record companies to take us to such places", he now comments on the decision.
Morrissey also writes in his social media that the band has been travelling to six countries the past week and is extremely tour-weary.
"We pray to God that someone, somewhere, can help us reach Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark ... where we have thousands and thousands of friends, but absolutely no support from the music industry", says Morrissey.
All ticket buyers will be refunded, announces the organizer AXS.
