Morgan Alling to play every role in The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared stage adaptation

When “The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared” returns to the stage, Morgan Alling will play all the roles. The premiere is scheduled for February 25 next year at Intiman in Stockholm.

Jonas Jonasson’s best-selling book was made into a film in 2013, with Robert Gustafsson playing centenarian Allan Karlsson.

In 2022, Niklas Holtne adapted the story for the stage, with Claes Malmberg as the only actor, at Tjolöholm Castle.

Now it’s Morgan Alling’s turn to take on the role. He plays not only Allan Karlsson but also all the world leaders and villains the centenarian meets, as well as “a most unexpected elephant”.

“It’s a completely insane and wonderful challenge - and I love it! Jumping between Allan himself, crazy statesmen and confused bandits at a furious pace will demand everything from me as an actor,” Alling says in a press release.

Holtne is also directing the production.
