Söderhamn's former national team player Jens Lundqvist, 46, is still at a high level, but he couldn't threaten Eslöv's world number two. No one has been able to do so in recent years.
Truls Möregårdh won 3–1 in sets and thus recorded his 100th consecutive league victory - a unique streak in Swedish table tennis.
The 101st came shortly afterwards, a 3–1 win against Jon Persson.
The victories helped away team Eslöv take the first semi-final 5–3.
The reigning champion now has two chances to decide the tie at home, as both Thursday's and (if necessary) Friday's matches are played in Skåne.
