The victory was Möregårdh's third in the tournament and it came in superior style with set scores of 13–11, 11–5, 11–7, 11–4 against the 18th-ranked German player.
Möregårdh now faces Japan's Sora Matsushima, ranked eighth in the world, in the quarterfinals, which will be played on Friday.
The World Cup is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year, where Möregårdh is second-seeded and seen as one of the big favorites.
Anton Källberg and Kristian Karlsson also participated in the tournament on the men's side, but were eliminated in the group stage.
Linda Bergström represented Sweden on the women's side but was also eliminated in the group stage.
