Last year, Möregårdh became the first male player to win five consecutive Swedish Championship singles gold medals, a feat he shared with two female players. With Sunday's gold, he is now the only player with six in a row. He has seven gold medals in total.
In the final, he faced Anton Källberg, as he had so many times before. There was never any real tension in the match.
"I'm mostly happy with my serve and my returns. We both want to attack with our forehand and I thought I locked him down well," Möregårdh said.
After Möregårdh won the first three sets, he slowed down, lost the fourth, and exploded in the fifth.
Stina Källberg won the women's singles title. She avenged last year's final loss to Linda Bergström and secured her fourth Swedish Championship gold.
