Möregårdh makes a comeback in the pingis scene this week after a nearly month-long competition break.
The fourth-seeded Swede will face his doubles partner Anton Källberg directly in the round of 16 in WTT Champions in Montpellier, a match that will be decided on Tuesday or Wednesday.
If he wins, another familiar face may be waiting in the round of 16, namely the German star and friend Dimitrij Ovtcharov, who visited Möregårdh this week to act as a sparring partner.
Truls Möregårdh has had problems with an overstrained knee and therefore recently missed the European Championship.
I have started to get back to 100 percent training this week. It feels better and better with each passing day, said the table tennis star to TT on Friday.
Möregårdh and Källberg are the only Swedish players participating in Montpellier.
