Möregårdh and Ranefur reach European Championship last 16 without dropping a set

Truls Möregårdh and Elias Ranefur have yet to drop a set in the men's doubles tournament at the European Table Tennis Championships in Slovenia. After a clear win over a Romanian pair, they are through to the round of 16.

However, Möregårdh and Ranefur had to battle in the first set of their round-of-16 match against Istrate/Chirita, eventually winning it 12–10.

But then they took control of the match and won the last two sets comfortably, 11–5 and 11–8. After two matches in the tournament, the duo have yet to lose a set.

Truls said we would have fun today, and I think we did. There was a lot of messing around and a lot of strange shots. It worked well, Elias Ranefur told SVT.

In the round of 16 on Wednesday, Möregårdh/Ranefur will face Frenchmen Esteban Dorr and Florian Bourrassaud.
