Initially, many cancer patients came to Sweden, but recently more people have been admitted requiring emergency care, including for serious burns.
There have been some combat-related incidents, such as drones or explosions, but we have also had civilians involved in ordinary accidents such as apartment fires, Fredrik Huss, plastic surgeon and head of the Burn Center at Uppsala University Hospital, told Ekot.
To relieve the burden on Ukraine's healthcare system during the war, a total of over 5,000 patients have been evacuated to around twenty countries in Europe.
