In February, punctuality was 89.1 percent - four percentage points better than in January, when snowstorms and other factors affected it.
Compared to February last year, punctuality was 0.1 percentage points better, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
The agency also notes that never before have so many passenger trains run in a February in Sweden - 87,032.
In the statistics, trains that arrive within five minutes of their scheduled time are counted as punctual.
Of all passenger trains, 96.6 percent arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time in February.
Cancelled departures are not included in the statistics.
