Behind the initiative is Klister, a nationwide network for small and medium-sized art institutions.

Together, they also want to highlight how funding for the arts is declining, and thus also the space for visionary and creative thinking.

“A society where everything has to be crystal clear all the time is not getting smarter. On the contrary. It is stalling,” says Alexandra Magnusson, curator at the Art Museum in Skövde and member of the Klister network, in a press release.

"We want to increase understanding among our politicians: the incomprehensible is not a problem, but an asset. If you cut into the arts, you cut into the future."
