They have left the country following escalating fighting between the Iran-backed Houthi movement and Yemeni government forces backed by Saudi Arabia.
During September, more than 82,000 people in Yemen have fled their homes, many of them after last week's offensive, which culminated when the Houthis captured large parts of Yemen's Red Sea coast, consolidating their control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
"More than 2,000 people fleeing the fighting in Yemen have arrived on the coast of Djibouti," the International Organization for Migration (IOM) wrote on X on Sunday.
Djibouti is located across the strait from Yemen and is a common transit point for migrants hoping to reach the Persian Gulf countries.
