The kidnappings took place on Sunday in Kruman Wali in Kaduna state and are said to have targeted both Catholic and Evangelical congregations, according to MP Usman Danlami Stingo.
177 people were missing, but 11 had returned, Stingo said on Monday. Regional police had not commented on the information.
Joseph Hayab, who represents a Christian organization in the state, said perpetrators blocked the entrances and abducted churchgoers.
Kidnappings are common in Nigeria, where perpetrators often demand ransom. Conflicts between ethnic groups and religious differences are also reasons for abductions.
No group had claimed responsibility for the kidnappings on Monday.
