The remains are now being identified. It is still unclear whether they belong to any of the eleven dead Hamas hostages still in Gaza, writes the Times of Israel .
An Israeli military source told AFP that three unidentified bodies had been received from Gaza. The source also said that based on the information they have, the military does not believe the remains belong to hostages.
Hamas has not commented on the handover.
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli military said it was preparing to hand over the remains, Haaretz reports. On Thursday, the remains of two Israelis who died while being held hostage in Gaza were handed over.
On Friday, the remains of 30 Palestinians were also handed over to health authorities in Gaza, as confirmed by a doctor at Nasser Hospital, where medical staff have been working to identify them.
