Ukraine has received an additional 1,200 dead from Russia, as part of the exchange agreement concluded during talks in Istanbul recently.
"An additional 1,200 bodies that the Russian side claims belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel, have been returned to Ukraine", announces the Ukrainian coordination headquarters for the handling of prisoners of war.
Investigations to identify the bodies will be conducted shortly, according to the coordination body.
The countries have also announced earlier in the week that they have exchanged injured, sick and deceased prisoners of war in several rounds.
