In total, 312,000 people registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service found new jobs, and 45,000 went on to study. In 2024, 23,000 fewer people went on to work, and 4,000 fewer went on to study.
"We have started to move in the right direction, even though the labor market remained weak during the year. Our priorities and efforts are increasingly contributing to a Sweden in work," says Maria Hemström Hemmingsson, Director General at the Swedish Public Employment Service, in a press release.
