Four people have been executed after being convicted of murdering six Chinese citizens and running an illegal gambling business worth billions of yuan, a court in Shenzhen announced.
It follows news last week that eleven people were executed for their involvement in the same scheme, which has been described as a mafia-like operation run by a Chinese family across the border in Myanmar, involving online fraud and large-scale gambling.
The convicted individuals were extradited to China when resistance militias in the civil war in Myanmar took control of the border region.
China executes more people each year than any other country.
