Since the requirement for food service in connection with alcohol sales was removed in June, several cinemas and cultural venues have now applied for permits to serve alcohol.
Filmstaden has already had alcohol permits at some of its cinemas, but is now seeing an increase in applications, reports Kulturnytt.
It is not believed that alcohol in connection with cinema visits could lead to more disorderly cinemas. However, films aimed at a younger audience will be exempted.
