83-year-old Hak Ja Han is alleged to have bribed the wife of South Korea's ousted president Yoon Suk Yeol and embezzled funds belonging to the church.

Hak Ja Han, who took over as leader of the Moon movement (formally the Unification Church or the Family Federation for World Peace and Unity) after the death of her husband, Sun Myung Moon, denies all charges.

Last year, Hak Ja Han was arrested and charged with giving luxury goods to the former first lady in 2022, when Yoon Suk Yeol was still in power.
