Just over two minutes into overtime, Montreal's Lane Hutson scored the decisive goal after teammates Zachary Bolduc and Alexandre Texier set him up.
Montreal now leads the first-round series against Tampa 2-1. To advance in the Stanley Cup playoffs, the series is best-of-seven. The next game is scheduled for Monday night.
