Felix Monsén may have secured an Olympic spot. He finished tenth in the downhill race in Kitzbühel. "It's up to the SOK now, but I hope so," he tells SVT.

The Swedish alpine skier seems to like Kitzbühel. Last year he finished tenth in the super-G at the Austrian resort. And in this year's classic Hahnenkammrennen he finished tenth, 1.26 seconds behind the winner, Giovanni Franzoni of Italy.

It is his best World Cup downhill result so far, after a 13th place in 2021.

Monsén's last chance to secure an Olympic spot was to achieve a top result in Kitzbühel. He didn't make it in the super-G, finishing 43rd. A tenth-place finish in the downhill might be enough to secure him a spot at the Milano-Cortina Olympics.

"We'll see. I'm mostly happy to be skiing well," he tells Expressen.
