The victims of the bus accident in Stockholm were honored with a moment of silence before the NHL game between Pittsburgh and Nashville in Avicii Arena.

A packed arena became eerily quiet and the players on the ice stood with their heads bowed for that brief moment.

In an interview with TT before the game, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman regretted Friday afternoon's accident.

"We want to draw attention to the terrible thing that happened in Östermalm and our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were killed and injured and their families," said Bettman.

Three people died and four were injured when a double-decker bus crashed into a bus shelter on Valhallavägen.
