Moldova withdraws from this year's Eurovision Song Contest, announces the country's public service company TRM.
The reason is "economic, administrative, and artistic challenges", according to a statement from TRM CEO Corneliu Durnescu.
It's about a decreasing interest from TV viewers and simply that the quality of this year's selection of songs and artists is too low.
Last year, Moldova was represented by Natalia Barbu with the song "In the middle". She was eliminated in the semi-final.
This year's competition takes place in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13-17.
