Modo is not going like a train in the hockey allsvenskan. Now they have chosen to fire coaches Mattias Karlin and Mikael Sundell. A tough decision, but we need a fresh start, says sports director Henrik Gradin to the club's website.

Modo has been struggling lately.

After being relegated to the Hockeyallsvenskan, the team has not lived up to the high expectations. The team is fourth in the table, a full 15 points behind league leaders Björklöven, with two more games played.

Therefore, the club is now choosing to part ways with the coaching duo Mattias Karlin and Mikael Sundell.

"We have been turning over all sorts of stones for some time to chart the way forward. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions and now it has landed in this, which is definitely a difficult decision. Nevertheless, we believe it is the right way forward," says sports director Henrik Gradin on the club's website.

Modo will host Oskarshamn at home in the next round.
