Modern Museum in Stockholm extends Britta Marakatt-Labba's exhibition by two weeks. The last day of viewing will now be 30 November.

”Where every stitch breathes/Juohke sákkaldat vuoigŋá” is the Sami artist's first major retrospective and has so far been seen by 65,000 people in Stockholm.

Matilda Olof-Ors, curator at the Modern Museum and the exhibition's curator, describes it as "Very appreciated".

The exhibition in Stockholm is a revised version of "In the footsteps of the stars" which was first shown at the Kin museum for contemporary art in Kiruna. In her embroideries, Britta Marakatt-Labba tells about Sami life but also about state abuses and a threatened nature.
