With a time of 55.68 at the GP competition in Finnish Lahtis, Granat improved her personal best by 21 hundredths.
I knew I had the capacity to run fast – especially with a fresh personal best on 400 meters from last week in the back – but to "pers" directly in the season opener on 400 meters hurdles was nothing I took for granted, she says to the Swedish Athletics Association's website.
The time is the best since Frida Johansson-Svensson ran 55.57 at the Finnkampen in 1999.
It feels incredibly cool. I'm tagged for more, says Granat.
