The murder story shook Sweden when it broke out in 2015 and 2016. The so-called Arboga woman was later sentenced to life imprisonment for incitement to murder her own father.
Gammel has written the script for the series together with Jakob Beckman ("I am Zlatan", "Damn guys", "Pirate Bay").
"In ordinary crime series, the murderer and police work are often in focus. This time, I want to highlight the invisible perspective of the relatives – the voices that are rarely heard behind the dark headlines", says Gammel in a press release.
The series is produced by B-Reel Films, which has previously been behind productions such as "The Helicopter Heist" and "Knutby". It is intended to premiere next year on a yet unnamed streaming service.
