It took two initial losing matches for Mjällby to wake up.
Five rounds later, the reigning champions have won four and drawn one.
Against Degerfors, the match was close at half-time. Jeppe Kjær made it 1–0 with a well-placed long-range shot. Center back Tom Pettersson scored 26 minutes later with his first goal of the season, before Abdoulie Manneh made it 3–0.
"We have risen in a good way. The last few matches show good performances, which lead to good results," Stroud, who scored the 4-1 goal, told TV4 Play.
Mjällby is now three points behind leading Sirius, who have played one fewer game.
In Västerås, the home team lost 0–1 to Gais.
