Mjällby continue to have a tough time balancing league and European games in parallel. After losing in the Champions League qualifiers earlier this week, there was another home defeat in the Allsvenskan on Saturday, when a somewhat rotated Mjällby hosted Elfsborg.
After just over 20 minutes, the only goal of the match came when Momoh Kamara flicked the ball on to Simon Olsson, who put it in the net.
Twelve minutes into the second half, the home team made four substitutions, including Jacob Bergström and Jeppe Kjaer coming on. But they could not break through against Elfsborg either and the match ended 0-1.
Mjällby are 11th in the Allsvenskan, Elfsborg sixth.
