Mjällby Ends Hammarby's Home Unbeaten Streak with 2-1 Victory

Mjällby pulled themselves up to the top of the table after defeating Hammarby 2–1 away – Stockholm's team's first defeat at home in the football top league since last summer.

The match winner was Hällevik's Alexander Johansson, who concluded a beautiful attack in the 65th minute.

The teams met at Listerlandet as recently as just over a month ago. On April 18, Mjällby won 3–1 at home at Strandvallen and ensured that "Bajen" then lost for the first time this year.

Mjällby's victory at the 3 arena meant that the team is the only one that has defeated Hammarby so far this year. The Stockholm team had, prior to Thursday's match, 13 consecutive Allsvenskan home matches without defeat, since the 0–1 match against IFK Göteborg on July 15 last year.

In the wake of Malmö FF and AIK playing 0–0 in the top match in Skåne, Mjällby took a three-point lead ahead of "Gnaget" in a stuttering table.
