Barely a week after the SM gold was secured, Mjällby's home audience got to cheer on their heroes. A half of master class was enough for the team to win against Norrköping and incidentally set a new all-Swedish poäng record. We know this thing with football, says match winner Jacob Bergström in HBO Max.

A number of tractors decorated with Mjällby flags along the road to the arena and a large majority of 5,629 spectators in place hailed the SM winner upon return to Strandvallen.

Magical, said gold coach Anders Torstensson in HBO Max.

When the match was blown into action, it looked like the championship team had not quite managed to recharge after the week's celebration.

Disadvantage

Norrköping's leading goal, through Christoffer Nyman, dampened the previously so carefree atmosphere among the home supporters.

After the break, Mjällby showed proof of why they are Sweden's currently best football team. Tom Pettersson's equalizer meant that the team then and there equaled Malmö FF's and AIK's record of 67 points earned during an Allsvenskan season.

The Mjällby supporters began singing "Oh, we are champions..." and their team pushed back Norrköping in their pursuit of becoming the sole record holder.

"It's love"

The next cheer from the stands came when Jacob Bergström scored 2-1 for Mjällby.

As a Mjällby supporter, you have not been allowed to enjoy much in life. That the supporters get to experience this, fun for them. It's love, says match winner Bergström and continues:

We are safe in our game. We know we can have a bad half but turn it around. We can do this with football.

During the final minutes, the audience stood up in their seats and applauded in rhythm to the new point record.

The Blekinge team now has 69 points and also two matches (Värnamo away and Häcken at home) to pass the dream limit of 70 points.
