A volcanic landslide hit a campsite at Mount Maunganui on the North Island. Six people were reported missing after last week's landslide, which followed heavy rains. A few days later, all hope was lost for the missing.
A police officer announced that the remains of a Swedish national were found on Saturday. A forensic examination has since been carried out to determine the man's identity, Radio New Zealand reports.
