A Picasso painting, "Still life with guitar", which was reported missing last week has been found.

Spanish police write that the painting was probably not included during a transport from Madrid to Granada.

"It was possibly never packed into the truck", they write, but also announce that the disappearance is still being investigated.

"Still life with guitar" is an oil painting on canvas valued at just over 6.5 million kronor. Together with other works by Pablo Picasso, it was to be exhibited at an exhibition in Granada. When the other works were unpacked, the painting was missing. Now they hope to be able to show it as part of the exhibition, which runs until January 11 next year.

The painting belongs to a private collector in Madrid and was painted in 1919. Picasso, born in 1881 in Málaga and deceased in 1973, is considered one of the most influential artists in history.
