She was superior earlier in the season. But in Veysonnaz, Switzerland, Sandra Näslund missed the podium. "It was a really big mistake that did it," says the ski cross star after finishing fourth.

The World Cup leader and Swedish Olympic gold medalist was fast at the start but still finished behind winner Daniela Maier of Germany. When Näslund then landed awkwardly after a jump - she was last.

That was a position the 29-year-old failed to improve, and she missed the podium for the first time this season.

"That will happen at some point too," she tells Radiosporten.

Näslund has five victories and a third-place finish this World Cup season.

On the men's side, David Mobärg missed the grand final and finished seventh. Erik Mobärg made it to the quarterfinals and came in twelfth.
