The Minnesota Timberwolves had no problem defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder at home, 143–101, and thereby reducing to 1–2 in matches in the NBA playoffs. After two straight losses, Minnesota was more or less forced to win the third match in order not to risk being eliminated from the playoffs in four straight matches.
The club's big star, guard Anthony Edwards, led the way with 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists despite only playing three periods in the match.
Minnesota now has another home match before the match series moves to Oklahoma City. In the other semifinal match in NBA basketball between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks, Indiana has secured a 2–0 lead.
